Looking for a nice Pub in the Marylebone area? Here are two perfect options for you:
![]() The Gunmakers Pub
Why? |
Two pubs spring to mind if you are fortunate to stay at Dorset Street in Marylebone.
The area is quite upmarket with very nice shops and art & book dealers, but there is a wonderful pub close to the flat where you can enjoy a pint or two.
The Gunmakers on Aybrook Street in Marylebone is a proper English boozer with glowering portraits of Nelson and Churchill. There's even a piano which is quite rare. The staff is friendly and there are loads of old characters. Food ok, but this is a place to drink.
The other pub is the Duke of Wellington Marylebone. Quite stylish, a gastropub with an attractive interior. The upstairs dining room is a bit cramped but the food is good and the staff friendly. Downstairs can also be quite cramped so avoid If you're hoping for a private chat. Otherwise one of the best gastropubs in Marylebone.
