Here is a wonderful recipe we found on Allrecipes.co.uk - Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes, peeled and quartered (about 2 pounds)
- 2 chicken stock cubes
- 250 ml warm milk (about 1 cup)
- 50 gr melted butter (about two tablespoons)
- 8 pork sausages
- 1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
- 500 ml of beef gravy (about 2 cups)
- 2 tablespoons of dried oregano
How to prepare:
- Steam the potatoes in a pot. Drain them.
- Melt the stock cubes into the milk. Pour the milk, and the butter unto the unpeeled potatoes until you obtain a smooth and creamy mash.
- Pick the suasages to let greas seep out while cooking them, place them on a pan over medium heat. Cook until golden brown. Remove the sausages from the pan and let them drain remaining grease on paper towels.
- Remove some of the grease from the pan you used to cook the sausages and then add the onions (either chopped or in rings, as you prefer), cook them until golden but crisp.
- Serve the Bangers and Mash in dishes placing the sausages over the mashed potatoes, topping everything with the onions and the gravy.
