Head to New York before February 7, 2012 and visit the Morgan Library & Museum on Madison Ave. where you will be able to view one of largest collections of Dickens' manuscripts and letters. Between Dec 2nd and Dec. 23rd 2011, take an historic Christmas Carol Walk; during the Christmas holidays, consider celebrating "Christmas with Dickens" – both at the Charles Dickens' Museum. Visit The Guardian's special series Charles Dickens at 200 for resources of all sorts to "explore the writer's life and relevance today through stories, videos, audio, galleries and more". Plan to attend a showing or discussion regarding A Christmas Carol at the Arts Theater or the Guardian. Last but not least, remember that Dickens 2012 is a global celebration! |
